During the month of September, festivals are held in cities and towns throughout Italy to celebrate the annual grape harvest. In celebration of this tradition, Viva Italia District Association is hosting an Alberta Culture Days event with a free, outdoor family festival in the heart of Little Italy.
Activities including:
- grape stomping
- music: Alfie Zappacosta, Andrea Pinna (Tenor), Alessia Alampi, Ella Zenari, La Musica di Umberto
- roving performers: Hula Hoop Circus, National Stiltwalkers of Canada
- children’s activities: face painting, balloon artists, glitter tattoos, mascots, games, stilt-walking workshop
- soccer hosted by Free Play for Kids
- bocce
- food trucks
- wine garden: Take a tasting tour of Italy with Italian wines imported by Enotri and local craft beer from The Growlery Beer Co.
